Ex-CSM Staff outside the Berlewen building in Pool

4 June 2010

School's Back for Summer

Over 25 ex-staff members from Camborne School of Mines (CSM) took a trip down memory lane as they visited the Berlewen building, their former offices, on Friday 4 June.

CPR Regeneration helped to arrange a tour around the building with Cornwall Learning, JW Engineering and Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change (CN4C) all welcoming the group to their current offices in the Berlewen Building.  The group then went on to visit the new Pool Innovation Centre and finished up with a tour of Heartlands Park in the afternoon.

Linda Shimmield, founder of the Camborne School of Mines ex-staff Association, who was over from Australia for the visit, said, "Everyone has really enjoyed the day.  It's been a real trip down memory lane.  We have all enjoyed looking around both the old and the new buildings.  The visit and get together has been such a success that we are hoping to meet up every couple of years from now on."
